Cindy Rush, Owner
Cindy Rush is a licensed and "nationally certified" Massage Therapist who has been in practice since 1995, and is the proprietor of Massage for Health. Cindy has experience in various modalities including, Swedish Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Sports Massage, Myofacial Release Technique, and Prenatal Therapy. Cindy is most proficient in Deep Tissue Massage as it pertains to individuals with injury or chronic pain. Cindy believes in taking an individual approach, not only to each client, but to each and every session with a client.
In early 2006 Cindy became fully certified in Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy™. This is a treatment modality created here in the United States by Ruthie Piper-Hardee. In addition to her massage therapy practice, Cindy has been involved in many pursuits related to the massage therapy field. Cindy has worked as a massage therapy educator on the faculty of the Cortiva Institute, where she is an instructor of Anatomy and Physiology. This service has included work with the AMTA's Massage Emergency Response Team; Chair of the MA Chapter AMTA's Law and Legislation Committee, where she was instrumental in advancing legislation for the state licensing of massage therapists; and currently, Cindy serves on the National AMTA's Government Relations Committee.
